You pad along a dark street, the rain drenching your fur. You shiver from the cold as hail begins to fall, and one hits you right on the forehead. A need for shelter is a must now. You find an alley that is dark, but will be ideal for resting. You settle down in a corner, ignoring the rain. Suddenly, deep green eyes burn into your fur. Shivering, you slowly look up to see a bicolor German shepherd staring at you. "What are you doing in City Hound's alley?" He asked, his voice deep. You don't reply. He shrugs, and pads to the back of the alley as if you weren't there. --------------------------------------- Welcome to City Hounds! The young mutt circled the streets, his eyes floating and switching on passerbys. His tongue tumbled down the slits of his mouth as he leaned to sit down on the dirty sidewalk. Toby's nose swung in the air as it took a sniff. Floods of scents filled his nostrils, and the young dog's muzzle set with a smile. More dogs. . . He thought. As it occurred to him that there may be catchers around, his tail stopped shifting from side to side. His smile soon faded as a sigh of desperation slipped his muzzle slits. "Oh. .right," Muttered Toby.

All I have of my short puppyhood is this *Togo shows Bullet a worn old collar with worn letters, too worn to see* I've been carrying this around for years, it doesn't fit me anymore. They think the pound is nice them dogcatchers. Why do they want to capture us? Already been there befire about a year I got adopted to someone who lived in an apartment he let me out that day and I never did come back. It was hard as a pup being left on the street in a soggy box. Where'd you come from. Tons of us are dead bevause of them catchers. I think we're killed for the sheer joy to them.
